Millers Creek Conservation area
This spot is the abandoned rail bed of one of the oldest railways in Ontario . The Cobourg and Peterborough Railway built around 1853 . This section was a bit later 1857 or so . Back in the day you could take the train over the trestle that crossed Rice Lake . Enjoy !

I've been coming here for years. It's a perfect short walk, especially in the winter when you just need to get outside for a walk.

A short trail with observation deck , there are no facilities and very limited parking. nice views over the marsh with abundant birds at the right time of year..
